What do you say to an affiliate who thinks that doing the daily 1 VP actions is a waste of time?

I would tell them that the TO DO list is a tool for helping them form the good habits necessary to operate any successful business. It is sort of like leading them through the actions of "opening the doors" so to speak each day.

Obviously, the best possible way is to get them interested in what YOU have to say, whether that is in the form of a blog or your personal website that creates interest in things you may have such astips and advice on some subject not directly related to SFI.

"Better" is a relative term and the answer depends completely on the questioner because if he/she is forward, outgoing, and comfortable speaking to strangers, the answer may be "offline" recruiting.

I suppose many answers will simply refer you to the ideas suggested under the marketing tab or other areas that have been suggested by SFI, and it is possible that some of them may be new to you.

I know there are some there I have not thought of, but your question suggests you are looking for something that has not already proposed.

Being "successful" in SFI means different things to different people. Some people will claim to be successful when they have reached a certain level of income each month. That could mean $50.00 per month for a person living in or near in poverty while for someone else that could mean $5000.00 per month.
Achieving all of the goals one person sets for themselves each month while for others, achieving only 1 or 2 of those "goals" would be success.

When I am confronted with this situation, I tell them that they are earning every time they get a Versa Point and then ask them what business they know of that does not have a large investment that must be made before ANY income is produced.

Mary, I think you stated your question wrong because I believe you know that we should never "discourage" anyone at any time.
I believe you really meant to ask "How can we remind our PSAs that good, effective and PROFITABLE team leadership means THEY must recognize the rate of development within their groups and understand that some people, for one reason or another JUST CANNOT grow as rapidly as others."

Do you agree SFI is a REAL business? TripleClicks is YOUR store and how can you make any money if you don't open the doors? That is what you can compare "logging in every day" to--just like opening the doors.

Also, learning to "log in" every day helps you develop a good habit and self discipline. It helps you to learn that ,just like any other business, there are things (those little mundane things) that MUST BE DONE every day, just like turning on the lights,
