To begin with, I can't yet say which of the gateways has been the most useful for me because I am too short a member here.
However, I'd like to suggest a good way of finding this out for yourself.
OK, this may be a bit off topic, but I think the information is relevant to the question.
The key word is "TRACKING".
I bet many people provided the answers based on their direct linking to one or maybe two of the gateways provided without any tracking at all. They just start their advertising leading the prospect to the gateways without even knowing what brings results and what does not.
To know things for sure without wild guessing you NEED to track your results.
The #1 tracking method I'd recommend here is Key Coding right inside the SFI itself. Learn about it and assign key codes to your various campaigns. It takes some time, true, but then you'll see exactly which ad brings you the best results. You will find the information on Key Codes under the "Power Tools" > "Key Code Tracking" tab.
Example: Let's assume that we start an advertising campaign with banners and we place the banners in three various advertising sources:
#1: a traffic exchange (let's code traffic exchanges with 7)
#2: an banner exchange program (let's code banner exchange as 8)
#3: our own blog/website (coded as 9)
I use 7, 8, and 9 not to accidentally interfere with reserved SFI key codes)
Now, let's take code the "Free" gateway as 1, the "Invitation" gateway as 2, and the "First" gateway as 3, you can code other gateways accordingly.
Thirdly, lets code the banners. Assume you have selected 5 banners, code them as 01, 02, 03, 04, and 05 accordingly (yes, two digits this time)
Finally, you place banners 01, 02, and 03 in the traffic exchange, each of them leading to all three gateways. To do this you need to put the following URLs:
For banner 01:
http://www.sfi4.com/{Your Aff. No}.7011/FREE, where 1 = traffic exchange, 01 = banner 1, 1 = gateway No. 1
http://www.sfi4.com/{Your Aff. No}.7012, where 1 = traffic exchange, 01 = banner 1, 2 = gateway No. 2
http://www.sfi4.com/{Your Aff. No}.7013/first, where 1 = traffic exchange, 01 = banner 1, 3 = gateway No. 3
And so on.
Then you check both "Power Tools" > "Hit Tracking" to see the overall results produced by your advertising, and your genealogy to see detailed results where you'll see which key codes appear the most often next to your PSAs.
This way you can determine both your most effective ad and the most effective gateway, and you can dump the other ads/gateways to make your advertising even more effective.
Summing up, there is no way to tell which gateway is the most useful/effective one without solid tracking your results to eliminate all wild guessing and wrong conclusions. Besides, tracking will not always reveal the best gateway, but will also show you which of your advertising sources perform well and which are just a waste of time and effort.
