I have heard about Team Leaders with groups numbering in the tens of thousands! What do they do differently to build such a huge downline?

I believe that these Team Leaders have learnt various marketing strategies and are very good at what they do. There are some team leaders who will have various forums where they will try to meet with all their generations. They will send an invitation to their downline and find out which time is best for each person from the times they have set up. They then teach their downline how to become successful in their business. They teach them duplication so that their downline will become successful too.
They also sen newsletters and sometimes videos which teach their downline how to become successful in this business. These Team Leaders are also able to purchase PSAs and CSAs in large numbers. They also bid in auctions and win PSAs and CSAs.
These Team leaders also advertise on a wide scale and are able to recruit PSAs and CSAs in large numbers. These are some of the things that these Team Leaders do differently in order to build such a huge downline.

What would you consider to be too much and unnecessary communication with your team?

I would consider sending messages more than twice per week to be unnecessary and too much. If you send SFI's latest news to your team, it is also unnecessary because all you need to do is refer them to find the latest news. If you send your team the same message more than once then it is also too much and unnecessary.
When you have a team in which most of your affiliates are inactive, I also see it unnecessary and too much to introduce them to terms that they have not yet covered especially if they have not accumulated any or very few VP's. These team members will understand nothing. Therefore you will have to send individual messages to those team to whom it will apply.

What should an affiliate do if their sponsor is non-responsive?

If your sponsor is non-responsive all you need to do is continue to do your business. Even though we have sponsors, not all of them will respond to us. SFI is our business and we need to treat it that way. We need to have an intrinsic motivation in order to be successful. If we are only motivated when our sponsors are responsive then we will not make it in this business.
When we have non-responsive sponsors there are other means by which we will be assisted. Remember that SFI is a global affiliate marketing system. If one area fails then there are always other areas to seek help such as: A2A, the forum and ASK SC answers.
Therefore, there is no excuse not to do well in SFI even when you have a non-responsive sponsor

Trust is a very important component in any type of relationship. In SFI it is no different. You can develop trust with you affiliates and get them to follow your leadership by:
1. Being an honest leader. An honest leader will empathize with his affiliates and not pretend as if he started out earning a lot of money.
2.Portraying patience - A patient leader will find that his affiliates will be encouraged to continue even when they did not start out on the right footing and sooner or later they will start investing not only time but money.
3.Commitment to SFI - when affiliates see that their leader logs in everyday to complete daily tasks then they will no doubt follow suit. Affiliates want to know that their leader is there with them all the way. When this bond of trust develops then leadership becomes very easy.

How does one support all your downline affiliates if you have barely enough to support your own self?

Support comes in various forms. It does not always come financially. As a sponsor/co-sponsor, it is very important that your downline see you as a real person, who is always there for them. Help them through their difficult situations. There may be a task at hand that is giving them a problem and they need your assistance. Try to help them as best as you can. If you do not know the answer read up about it or find someone else who does to give you the answer. You can also motivate them through your stream post and through medium of SFI forum.
Treat each affiliate as an individual. You can send out you weekly mailer, but please spend the time to get in touch with your affiliates on a one to one basis. You can do so by email, facebook, skype etc. When your downline see that you are there for them and see them as individuals they will have a high level of trust in you.
You need not to worry that you can barely support yourself because not all your downline affiliates will need financial help. Some of them just need someone to motivate them and to be there for them.

How can you offer financial support to a hard-working PSA/CSA who is truly financially challenged?

With the worldwide economic downturn there are many hard-working PSA/CSA who are truly financially challenged. I can attest to this because I have been down that road before.
As a sponsor or co-sponsor do not expect your hard-working downline to ask you for financial support. I don't think their pride will let them. I remember that one month I received a $5 gift certificate from my co-sponsor. She also reassigned some PSAs to me to help me acquire 120 extra points for the month through SFI's group mailer. I was very elated with her kind gesture. I did not make EA that month but it has motivated me and I am now EA2. I feel blessed to have such a co-sponsor.
We should therefore seek to offer financial assistance to our hard-working PSA/CSA because in the end we will also benefit. We must not sit around and wait for them to ask for help. We should approach them to find out if they need this assistance and do whatever we can to support them.

I believe that the best strategy for earning quickly with SFI is to have an active downline. This is why it is important to be at least executive affiliate. You can do this easily by setting up a standing order of 1500 vps. This will allow you to reach EA level. You will have more opportunities to earn when you are EA and this will help to build your business. Your downline will grow and you will in turn earn commissions from their actions.
