Why do some affiliates find success with SFI in just weeks, while for others it takes months or years?

When I first started with SFI and had not yet gotten my feet wet in the business I asked myself that question. I noticed there were those who had been a member of SFI for several years and they were only EA2 or BTL and others only a few months and they were STL or GTL. It all started to make sense once I learned what the business was all about and how individuals advanced. SFI is a business that requires work, determination and dedication and even with those things I believe there is also an element of "pure luck or good fortune." Of course good luck will only take one so far and relying on luck is never a good recipe for true success.
The affiliates that advance quickly are foremost hard diligent workers. They have goals and they are driven to accomplish them. Many affiliates are not newbies to Internet marketing, they know their way around the block, they know how to advertise and where, they are experienced with PPC (Pay-per-click) advertising, many have other successful online businesses in addition to SFI. They have business associates and connections that you and I don't have that are a support for them.
I believe other affiliates may have a difficult time due to language barriers which may cause them not to advance as quickly as others. Inexperience ones will always advance slower than someone that is a guru at internet marketing. There are affiliates that do not have the financial means to promote their business and as a result advance slower then individuals with an open wallet.
Having stated the above; the most important thing is to continue working your business and devote your all to it. If you have only time then make the best use of your time promoting your gateways and talking with different ones. Ask questions of those that are advancing quickly (copy them). If you are doing all you are capable of doing you will eventually see results. Remember, SFI is not a race, its not a competition. We only need to improve upon what we do from one day to the next. If we do this then we are SUCCESSFUL whether it takes a few weeks, months or years.

How do you handle being rejected over and over again when presenting the SFI opportunity to others?

How do you handle being rejected over and over again? No one likes being rejected but rejection is a part of the process. If you don't ask or don't try are you ever going to succeed at anything? Of course not. I thought of the Inventor, Thomas Edison. There are different schools of thought as to how many times Edison failed before successfully inventing the light bulb. Some say he tried 10,000 times, others say it was 3,000 times or 1,000 times. The bottom line is Edison tried and tried until he got it right.
It was stated that a reporter asked Edison about all his failures. Edison simply stated, 'It just meant that I was that many times closer to success.' What a splendid attitude to have.
The best way I've found to handle rejection is to keep my "WHY" before me. I known why I am in this business, what I want from it and I keep that ever before me. I keep a positive mental attitude and I believe in myself and my ability to succeed. You don't fail until you quit...Edison is proof that winners don't quit no matter how many times they fail at a particular task. Each rejection gives you an opportunity to sharpen your skills and approach. Think of it as growth and progress. Everything we do to move our business forward is progress and rejection is unfortunately a part of the path towards being a successful individual. All successful people had to cross "the bridge of REJECTION." it's inevitable.

How does participating in Ask SC help you become a more successful SFI affiliate?

Participation in ASK SC is important in my opinion because no one person has all the answers. We learn differently and for example while one individual may perfectly explain a new concept or way of advertising SFI I simply might not get it or understand; however, while reading through several ASK SC answers on the same topic I find one that appeals to me...finally I get it!
The real beauty of participation in ASK SC is the wide variety of responses given by many SFI business men and women from all walks of life. Men and women who are new to SFI and those that are well seasoned share with us their knowledge and opinions about SFI...what's works for them and things that they did not find particularly useful in regards to growing their business.
I must confess the most important reason I participate in ASK SC is because if the President of SFI did not find this forum useful it simply would not be. When you take into consideration that everything on this site cost a pretty penny to set up and program there is something to be learned here and I have learned and implemented many ideas from reading answers to various questions; I bet you have also. SFI and all it contains is geared towards our success as SFI business owners and we would be less than wise not to avail ourselves of all the information at our fingertips that includes participation in ASK SC.
I wish you continued success.

What is the best way to convince my PSAs that they should set up a Standing Order?

I never thought it was a great idea to try to convince anyone to spent money to advance their business. I remember when I started my Sponsor never brought up the subject of a standing order and he didn't have too. I realized the importance of having a standing order. I knew that SFI was the kind of business opportunity that I was searching for and to be truly successful I needed to invest in myself, in my business. It just made perfect sense to me.
If your PSAs are serious about building a profitable business it will be no need to convince them of anything. They will either get onboard or they won't but trying to push or persuade others to get a standing order could backfire as they might believe you are only interested in profiting from them and that never should be the case. You should always want to help them succeed; when they succeed you automatically succeed.
Those are my thoughts on the matter.
