A good leader leads by example. Therefore the first thing you have to do is to be a good affiliate; earn you badges. Participate in the programs, ECA, Wave3, IAHBE, A2A, S-Builder, E365 etc. and show your commitment to SFI by investing in a standing order. In the process you will gain the necessary points to move up in the ranks. Teach and mentor your affiliates to duplicate what you are doing. Offer them incentives like TCredits, gift certificates and reassign affiliates to get them started and so that they realise the advantage of having PSA's. Just as you daily visit your affiliate center check your genealogy so that you can prompt and offer tips to your downline when they are close to rank upgrades or at risk to being eliminated from programs such as E365 or SFI itself due to inactivity (not the latter since you would have kept them motivated and active :)). Above all boost their self esteem by applauding and rewarding their accomplishments and highlight their importance to your organization. (This is a great motivator.) Assure them of your commitment to their success and challenge them to do their part to realise this goal which of course is intertwined in your own. Let this not be lip service. Answer questions and offer advice promptly and clearly. You create more and better movers at all levels of your organization and greater earning potential for all.
"It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed."

The only way to contact a TC member is by issuing a gift certificate. So do so, but in issuing the GC keep three things in mind:
1. keep the amount small but enough to allow the member to test products & customer service.
2. make the life of the GC short- people hate to lose anything so this calls to prompt action
3. if the TC member is personally known to you make suggestions for items than can be bought with this amount. By suggesting products from one of your ECA's you could potentially gain a double benefit.

The first month should be spent learning what SFI is all about and creating the habits that will make you successful. That is making the most of training opportunities, reading and re-reading the LaunchPad lessons, Rules for Success and to keep you grounded intermittent referral to SFI Basics. Above all set your goals and place a written copy in a place where you must see them everyday. Create the habit of daily visits to the Affiliate Center and completion of the various actions. Be sure to test your recruiting and promotion skills to give you a boost for the upcoming months. Put in place and practice your daily regime of doing something to advance your business. Activate your TC and Wave3 memberships and keep the excitement alive.
