How can you build your SFI business on a tight budget?

The way that I built my SFI business is by advertising with business cards that I take to local pizza places and have them put with delivery boxes. The pizza owners do this for free and it gets my word out to thousands of people that I would never meet otherwise.
I also make sure that I advertise the business all my other websites and on Link-in and other social media. Another place that I spread the word is at the local Chamber of Commerce at the monthly meeting. People get very interested there and I can hand out a lot of cards and flyers.

"Greetings and salutations (persons name),
I'm so glad that you are on our team. For those of you that don't know me I am Joey Kline and I'm your co-sponsor, that means I'm the person here for you at all times to answer any questions you have and hope you with your business."
Then I go on and encouraged them to set goals for the month and goals for each week. I suggest that they make sure they visit triple clicks at least three days a week and try to buy something each time even if it's just a $.99 e-book. I also suggested they go to the Pricebender auction and try to buy something or at least put in their guess for what the auction will end at and have the chance of winning 200 T credits. It's not that they have to win anything just the fact that they're going there will encourage them to be active in the program.
I also remind them of special programs and encourage them to be involved in things like W3 and ECA and explain how they work briefly. I give them ideas on how I advertise using free advertising. I change things around how I do it every week and try to make it interesting and involving/evolving.
I finish up with a paragraph on how they can reach me why they should. I not only get the money SFI address I also give them my business e-mail address and my business 800-number. At least that way my team members in the United States and Canada and Mexico can call me. Make yourself is available as possible to them and encourage them to contact you. Always follow up immediately when they contact you and always welcome new members as soon as possible by name. Good business and have fun writing letters.
PS Always write your letters in a word processor and cut and paste them into SFI, then put your spacing back in since SFI takes it out. JK

How do I become a good sponsor to my affiliates?

It's very important to let them know that you care about them personally. If they are one of your Movers, send them an individual message talking about them personally and what they've done and what you hope for them in the future. For any of your people when you're talking to them, mention where they live. If you know the area, tell them and asked them how they like it and what you thought of it. Get on a one-on-one basis with them.
Lead by example: tell them what you do every day and every month to be where you are. Make sure that they know that you buy things on TripleClicks, that you use the auction, they can have it ECA store, etc. but most importantly let them know that your happy that they are on your team and that you are here for them at any time.

What is the best way to make my Leadership Page more effective?

The leadership page is very important as a way to connect to your team. Make sure you keep your content fresh and new. I try to put new content on once a week.
Remind people on your team in your weekly letter to them to go to the leadership page and check out all the different items that are there. You'd be surprised how many people don't know that they should go to their team leader's page.
I send individual e-mails all of my Movers reminding them to go to the Page and then also asking them to send me suggestions of what they would like to see on the Page.
Make sure you recognize the people there doing well on your team. And tell others how long it took those people to get to where they are. He gives the newer people hope that they can get there too.
One of the most important things is to remember to keep things short and to the point. Don't bloviate.you're there to educate them and inspire them not to bore them to death. I remember you should be going to your team leader's page too on a regular basis.

What is the best way to use TripleClicks X-Cards?

I find the best use of my Cards (of all types)is to print my ID Number on them using a stamp so it is legible and then stamp the back with a copy of my personal business card. It will cost about $15.00 to have the stamp made, but you can use it for a million things.
I then give the cards to Pizza places and they put them in the outgoing orders for free. I also take the to Employment offices and DES (Dept. of Economic Security), LDS Employment Services and other similar locations.
I also put the in the offices of Low Rent apartment complexes where new comers to town might start out. Also give them to the One Stop in town (where people go looking for a job). Military Bases are also a good location if you are a Vet. I would also put them at the DAV, VFW, American Legion, etc for Vets and retirees.

What attitudes make the difference between achieving mediocrity and success?

The difference between mediocrity and been highly successful is attitude and willingness to work. If you don't have the right attitude you're never going to get anywhere. But even someone with a fantastic attitude and wonderful goals is not going to get anywhere unless they're willing to work and work hard.
The first thing you need to do is decide where you want to end up; is this just a part-time venture that you're doing for fun, or is this a full-time venture that you want to put a lot of time and effort into and have it become your full-time business. Until you have decided this there's no point in doing anything. If this is just for fun you need to make some small goals and do the basics: buy things on Tripleclicks, play with the PriceBender auction, i.e. do all the basics and become a Executive Affiliate, maybe you'll even end up as a bronze team leader; but that's about it.
But if you want this to eventually replace your full-time job you need to make that decision and start doing the things you need to do to achieve it. First thing: write a business plan! Get it down on paper. Have your banker look at it and help you with it. Write goals: short-term, mid-length and long-term. Get them on paper where you can write notes next to them as to how you're doing on accomplishing.
Write a marketing plan and work on it with your banker. You need a marketing plan just as much as you need a business plan. Again you need to make room to make comments about your marketing plan as you're going along. By being able to make these plans and make comments about them on paper it will definitely help your attitude as you see how your accomplishing things day by day.
Attitude is very important in your business, but planning and hard work are the main things that will make your business work. Make sure that you have a banker that you're working with to help you get everything in order. Remember, the more you accomplish the more your attitude will improve and you'll have better success in your business. Good luck
