What is the benefit of buying an S-Builder Co-op unit vs buying an upline member's co-op unit?

All I can tell you, Miss Janet, is that I love the idea of having my SO S-Builder unit working for me every day, sending me PSAs and PRMs regularly, for a VERY reasonable fee!
I believe S-Builder is very good for SFI affiliates because larger groups contributing to the buying fund can buy more, better, advertising than smaller pools can. That is not being disloyal to your upline, it is better benefiting your own team specifically, and the teams of ALL affiliates in general. Better 100,000 (pick a large number) members paying $22 for a buying pool than 5,000 (,say,) members paying $??. Quantity is better in this instance.
Getting your PSAs thru your upline's (or another ECA, for that matter) co-op has no more guarantee of "live" affiliate sign-ups than S-Builder does, so I would tend to stick with that which I KNOW has been succeeding well for me, with small cost, and no tending on my part!
Now I have time to tend to my growing downline, and to my own continuing education.
Just my opinion...

When starting out in SFI, is it better to invest in advertising or in an EA-qualifying purchase?

First, I believe I would be sure to buy a New Member Pack (NMP) - which carries an automatic EA qualifying 1500VPs - within my first 10 days with SFI. During this time you will learn about the value of NMP as well as about the value of a Standing Order (SO).
Among other things, NMP will give you some benefits that will last your entire career with SFI, even though it is a one-time purchase at the $20US price. SO is an easy way to maintain your EA2 status (minimum qualifying purchase is 1500SVPs) thereafter. Most affiliates include 125Pak of TCredits (1500VP, $36.25US) as part of their SO as TCs are a currency in TripleClicks enabling you to bid auctions, play games, and/or make purchases, among other things.
Once you have your NMP in place, spend rest of first calendar month learning SFI system by reading as much of the training materials in LaunchPad lessons and black tabs across middle of SFI pages as you can. All the information you need to proceed successfully are contained therein.
As you read and learn, begin to explore the trainings about advertising, and search "Advertising" in AskSC also as there have been many questions on the subject. When you are ready, begin advertising.
Suggest you set your SO shipping date for 1st of month so you will always have your EA2 working for you!
Best of success to you and your team!!:))...

What is the best strategy to win the E365 Championship for my class?

My best suggestion for winning the E365 Championship is to do everything you can to gain VPs. That should be in the forefront of your mind.
Along the way, you should learn all that SFI has to teach, which is at least several bushel baskets full!! The more you learn, the more ways you will discover to earn VPs, and in doing both things (learn & earn), you will become an extremely competent member, team leader, AND TEACHER.
Teaching your downline what you have learned, and helping answer the questions of any other affiliate needing help is how we repay SFI for giving us our magnificent training free for the taking.
Good luck in your pursuit...

What are the best methods to distribute TripleClicks TCards to attract PRMs and increase sales?

I would suggest primarily using warm market methods so you can explain a bit the benefits, and be able to track to whom/where you have given these cards. (Use a keycode of some kind so you can track how you came to have your new PRM.)
After you have done this with friends, then expand to people you see in the grocery store, parking lots, thrift stores, mall parking lots, anywhere people gather or pass through.
Best wishes to your success:))...
How do you identify in your affiliates the skills that could help them become stars in SFI?

Check their VP ledger closely for the first couple weeks, see what they are doing.
Have they taken the initial steps that will qualify them for NMPs?
Do they do their daily tasks? Rate askSC answers? Is their writing of tips, Forum posts/answers, etc., clearly written, even if English is not their first tongue? (You can often tell by the structure of their sentences... and no, I don't mean are they expert speech writers:) I mean, are they comfortable using written words to communicate clearly to others.) Have they joined a2a, W3?
As you observe these things and more, you should be able to get a feel for the "doers" versus the "lookers", and will soon be able to spot the "tells" that will let you know if you have a sleeper or a diamond! Always maintain contact with all your downlines, but spend your best time with the workers you discover!!
Wishing you success in finding many diamonds!!:))

Which is better and why...to contact my PSAs through SFI (e.g. PSA Mailer) or directly via their email address?
Ronelle Tharp, Aff (Florida, US)

Affiliate since: 10/04/2013, Power Rank: 99999999
I prefer an initial contact via SFI, preferably through an eCard, then respond to that via my email. I usually include "...feel free to contact me at:.......com for further questions or problems." That leaves the door open for whichever method makes them more comfortable, email or SFI.
Why? I am more comfortable within that which is more known to me, and I do not need to worry about how many words I put. Sometimes a conversation requires a more lengthy explanation, depending on the subject.
As to which is better? I think it is totally up to the ones involved in the conversation.
Weekly mail to your team, of course, is best sent via PSA Mailer. It's MUCH easier to send one message to all, than to MANY! Don't forget to use "~FIRSTNAME~" within body of the message, and the individual's name will be there. That is an excellent way to personalize a normally generic letter. (When you get the first copy of that mail in your email, it will say ~FIRSTNAME", but the copy that goes to you the second time will have your name in it, so you know all of them have the recipient's name in the right place, too!:)
I hope this is helpful to you:))...

Thousands of SFI affiliates are doing the same thing. How do you stand out from the crowd?

Be yourself. Each of us at SFI is totally individual, even as we all follow the same business plan!
Go read all the marketing AskSC Q&As you can find; tips for marketing methods/places; learn how to blog, advertise, etc. When you have a good understanding of how to do things, sit down, mull it over, put your own personal twist to letters, blogs, tweets, FB posts, etc.
Put YOURSELF out on the front line. Don't be silly unnecessarily, but do realize that sometimes humor can be a great attention catcher!!:)) Always be truthful, write with proper language so your point gets across even thru translators. Try to avoid American slang as a general rule (unless you explain it in the text) because it will probably not translate too well!
There is, after all, only one YOU. If you present YOU as best you know how, you WILL stand out from the crowd simply by being yourself, don't try to be like anyone else, it will not ring true.
Hope this helps...

How do we get the most from the MRP (Member Reward Points) we earn?
Ronelle Tharp, Aff (Florida, US)

MRPs can help you buy TCredits for auctions - before or during an auction.
You can also use them to buy products in TripleClicks and the special affiliate section.
Use all the methods available to you - bid in double MRP auctions, take any actions that will include receiving MRPs as prizes or bonuses.
Remember that purchases are included in your SVPs, but TCs will also award you an AVP for most of the things you use them for.
Don't be afraid to let your MRP balance grow, especially if you have found something you really want!
Best of success to you!...

Is it worthwhile to send individual welcome letters to new PSAs...or can I just send out group mailings?

NO!! NO!! NO group mailings to brand new PSAs!!!
It is very important to establish a regular routine of personal contact with your PSAs. You can send the original welcome message automatically if you have it as a personal "letter" without naming the individual specifically. Be sure to include the tip about 500VP w/in first 24hrs. to gain the additional 200VP. That is a heck of a bonus to get them fired up about SFI! :)
Within a day, max 2, send them at least an E-Card welcoming them to your team, etc. Give them a way to contact you directly (email is about the best way, I think), let them know they can always reach you that way if they have any difficulties or questions.
After that, a weekly group mailing may suffice. Check their ledgers, see how they are doing, use E-cards often to shoot suggestions if they are needed.
Let them know you are a live person, dealing with another live person, treat them as you would prefer to be treated. You want to make them feel welcome and their efforts appreciated if you want them to stay and succeed!!
Best wishes for your - and their - success!!:))...

Are there any shortcuts to success in SFI for new affiliates?
Ronelle Tharp, Aff (Florida, US)

Affiliate since: 10/04/2013, Power Rank: 99999999
Shortcuts? Noo, I don't think so!:(
What there IS is the best system on the Internet to earn an income from home!!:)
The first month or two it is not too difficult to reach EA and EA2. After that, it takes more work and at least some money.
Start: Learn all you can, thoroughly, as quickly as you can to be able to successfully use the system.
Then: Clear all your red tabs daily to gain VPs and MORE knowledge along the way by rating all 30 askSC answers; read all the Forum posts and replies, there is much info shared there.
Also: set up your Standing Order for at least 1500VP. 125-Pak of TCredits ($36.25), subscription to IAHBE ($29/mo) are good choices. Also consider at least 1 unit of S-Builder Coop for PSAs, especially if advertising is not your strongest suit.
And Finally: Keep faith in yourself, and have patience with yourself. SFI success will not happen fast; if you persevere, it WILL happen, to your immense satisfaction and pleasure!
Here's to your success !:))
