I believe your ECA is probably the most powerful income generating resource that SFI has provided as an opportunity for its Affiliates. You can advertise your products to over 2.5 million Affiliates and others outside but there will be no point in your advertising campaign if you are not going to look after your potential customers.
An ECA is simply a "store" but it's importance is highlighted when you attract customers to your store who wish to purchase products from you. It is a highly competitive market out there and this means first that your ECA has to have high standards.
DO'S
** immediately your ECA Application is approved, ensure that you have a few products that are ready to be listed...DO NOT think about the products afterwards. Before your application is forwarded for approval, you should already know which ones you will list.
**connect with other members and start promoting your ECA link once it has been approved. It does not take more than 2/3 days for the approval to come through if everything in your application is as per the requirements of TripleClicks
**send out group mail to all your friends and family notifying them of your new online Store and the products
**it would not be a bad idea to give away a complimentary gift item for the first 10-15 buyers.
**answer queries promptly
DONT'S
> do not give reason for your buyers to complain, you are trying to receive customers to your store not scare them away.
> give your best! communicate as much as you need to. Not answering mail is a common problem. If there is an issue, it can always be sorted out but show integrity and communicate with the buyer.
> it's your first month as an ECA! Do not be afraid to make a mistake, we all do at different times but we will learn and improve. Some of us are not computer savvy and a simple task may seem impossible or difficult to implement, take time to understand the procedures and inform Support if you have any specific issues.
> do not promise the buyer what you cannot deliver and this means do not list products that you do not have - it s being dishonest.
> do not have practices within your Store that will allow your buyers/customers to question your honesty.
> do not fail to fulfill any order unless you have a reason to but remember, you must keep the buyer informed of the status of the order.
