What's the best SFI marketing method for beginners? Why?

For beginners, I feel X-cards are the best. If you are really, really new and not sure what to say when meeting people because you haven't finished reading the LaunchPads and other free articles in SFI, then you should buy the X-cards and drop them around town.
There is usually a fishbowl near the cashiers counter in most stores. Drop them there. The clerk who sifts through them might become interested. If you're lucky, the big boss would become interested and signs up as an ECA.
Taking the bus or train to work? Leave them on your chair or behind the chair in front of you. The next person might be looking for something to read while waiting for his next stop.
If you sell products out of a brick and mortar store, drop one into the customers shopping bag before handing it to them.
In the end, one of the recipients of the X-cards will probably make time to come see you to ask more details regarding SFI, especially if they are really interested. So my advice would still be to read up on the basics. You should graduate to face to face marketing one day, even if it is only as a challenge to yourself.

What are the benefits of Pricebenders auctions that I can promote to prospects?

For promoting to prospects, I think you can talk about the benefits of getting items at lower than the retail price. In our Pricebenders Gateway page there will be a list of all the items that was up for auction and the price that it went for. When people see how much savings they could've had, then it would surely entice them.
Since prospects do not really know about other types of promotions we have for members (like the 1 PSA for every 50 bids) they would not be able to appreciate the significance. But personally I love this new promotion in Pricebenders. Imagine getting 1 new PSA every day with bidding. You will be well on your way to 1 PSA a day and highly likely to get at least 1 active PSA a month.

How do I assure that duplication happens in those I sponsor?
Shamsina Sabdin, Aff (Malaysia)

I think you need to be friends with your downlines first. Because to get anyone to follow what you say and do, that person need to trust you first. After all, you will not follow just anyone, right? That is why some people say get your friends and family to join SFI too if they're interested. It's easier for the duplication.
How to get them to trust you and how to be friends? Well, if your downlines are in the same country, give them a call. Nothing too pushy. Just to let them know you are a real person and not a computer generated something that emails them. That is step one. Letting them know you are real.
Next, maybe in your weekly emails, be country specific. Search for ECAs in their country and let them know these ECAs exist. But be very careful about asking them to buy stuff from these ECAs. You don't know how well off your downlines are and it might put them off. I guess maybe that's why we get complaints about uplines trying to sell stuff to their donwlines. Just a misunderstanding, methinks.
Lead by example. Become an EA yourself before asking your downlines to become an EA. After that, aim for BTL. Buy groceries from TripleClicks and rave about them. Participate in the games and let your downlines know about these games.
But I think first off, to ensure duplication, build trust.

How can we determine beforehand what are good spots to advertise?
Shamsina Sabdin, Aff (Malaysia)

Affiliate since: 03/28/2011, Power Rank: 591
In my opinion, if you don't see anyone else advertising there, then that is a good spot to advertise. Though do find out first that it is not illegal or anything if you advertise there :)
What I mean is, Traffic Exchanges and Solo Ads and all that is filled with people selling something and asking people to join something. So perhaps you should go to a place where you don't see people doing advertising. At least not about internet business. Maybe your local community centre. Maybe your weekly flea market. Maybe your kid's sports day.
But be tactful and curteous because like I said these are not the usual places people do advertising and they might not be open or friendly if you start bulldozing your way through. If you get your strategy right, then these places are a goldmine.

How is building a second income with a company like SFI beneficial to me?
Shamsina Sabdin, Aff (Malaysia)

I think your question is referring to why SFI and not choose another company to build your second income with.
For me, the decision was made for me when I saw how TripleClicks was set up. Other affiliate companies that I know have their own product for sale. And as normal, we are advised to buy our own products. But it would be really hard if we have no use for that particular product.
TripleClicks for me is unique because we have thousands of products. Yes, some of them we don't use, but most of them we do use. So it is very easy to do transfer buying. My favourite brand of tea? Search TC and most probably it is there. High shipping fees? What better way to increase my income than referring a local ECA that sells my favourite brand of tea. I can just step out and collect my tea from the ECA who happens to be the store around the corner. Walla! No shipping fees.
Tell me how that is not beneficial? You keep on using the stuff you normally use, but your get extra commissions to build your second income at the same time.

What should I work on to build my SFI business when I can't access the SFI Affiliate Center?

I will tell you what I do. Because in fact I always have problems logging into the Affiliate Centre during the weekend. Not sure why, perhaps my smartphone has a new security update that is preventing access.
Anyway, what I do is I log in to TripleClicks and play the games!
1) I always participate in T-time several times a day.
2) I always participate in Pick the Price.
3) Of course, the Time Machine is a must coz you only can participate once daily.
4) I participate in Pricebenders Auction.
All this combined will get me my 10 VPs daily so that I will not lose my daily streak.
Also, I have an SFI Training website that I maintain. I try to put helpful information in there for my team as well as for any random visitors coming around. For random visitors, the trick is to get them interested so that they will click on my links. For my team, step by step information of what to do when in the Affiliate Centre as well as helpful information on TripleClicks products scattered here and there to interest them.
And most important, do your advertising. Online and offline.

Which helps my SFI business the most...playing Eager Zebra games or bidding on Pricebenders auctions?
Shamsina Sabdin, Aff (Malaysia)

Affiliate since: 03/28/2011, Power Rank: 591
If this question came a few weeks ago, I would not know how to answer this. But now I would say that bidding on Pricebenders will be very helpful to your SFI business. Why? Because each 50 bids will get you 1 PSA.
You do know that the target is to get 5 active PSAs under you that duplicate what you do. Getting PSAs is not the problem, the duplicating is the problem. It is a numbers game as everybody keeps saying. So the more PSAs you can get that stays active, the better it is for your business.
Both Eager Zebra and Pricebenders require TCredits and give you AVPs in return. But Pricebenders give you PSAs in return on top of the AVP. And if you're lucky and have a great strategy, you also win the item you were bidding on!

I am not very good at talking to people. How can I talk to them about SFI or TripleClicks in a simple and easy way?
Shamsina Sabdin, Aff (Malaysia)

You may think that you are not good at talking to people, but think again. Do you have friends that you hang out with? Colleagues that you talk shop with?
So why not do this? When you hang out with your friends, maybe discussing the latest movies that you've seen, insert a statement that you know of a place where you can get the latest movies (Hobbit, Catching Fire, etc) at a very low price. Where? your friends asks you. Pricebenders, of course! Then open the latest winners page on your smartphone and show them the prices. They'll be interested, I assure you.
Or when at lunch with your colleague discussing how the presentation that morning would go much better if you had a laser pointer, or the latest mouse. Insert a statement that you know where to get one. Open TripleClicks, search for laser pointer (or computer mouse) and show your collegues the results.
And that's just two examples as a start. I'm sure you can think of a lot more examples.

There is a lot of fraud on the Internet. How do we convince skeptical prospects that SFI is legit and real?
Shamsina Sabdin, Aff (Malaysia)

First off, the fact that SFI is free and will always be free. That is one point to highlight. Because those scams on the internet will always ask you for money, even with the first email.
Secondly, try and convince them to wait a month or two before deciding. And try and get them to collect the Action VPs. Because by the end of month 2, without having to give any money, they will see that they will earn something. It will be small, but it will be MONEY earned!
After that, they can either continue doing it for free, or if they want to earn more than they did the past 2 months, they can start to invest.
After all, this is what happened to me. I was a skeptic. Now I am happy with SFI.

What is the most valuable thing you learned in your first year in SFI?

I my first year in SFI, the most valuable thing I learned is that to earn something meaningful with SFI, you have to work at it.
I know that a lot of people expect money to come to them easily. Me included (back then). That's why all those scams on the internet exists and are thriving! But the very basic notion of "you want something, you have to work for it" still holds true.
Either you work hard, or you work smart, that it up to you. But you still have to do some sort of work in your SFI business. Be it some investment, or getting over your shyness in order to introduce SFI to others (advertising).
A business is a business. Don't believe those that say you get up in the morning, spend 10 minutes on your computer, and slack off the rest of the day while money pours into your account.
