I really liked your question so my answer also should be very convincing by all means. As far as I am concerned, leaders are not, as we are often led to think, people who go along with huge crowds following them. Leaders are people who go their own way without caring, or even looking to see, whether anyone is following them. Leadership qualities are not the qualities that enable people to attract followers, but those that enable them to do without them. They include, at the very least, courage, endurance, patience, humor, flexibility, resourcefulness, stubbornness, a keen sense of reality, and the ability to keep a cool and clear head, even when things are going badly. True leaders, in short, do not make people into followers, but into other leaders.
In SFI, at first, we all are joining as Affiliates and then, with thorough perseverance and determination, one will become the leader to have a good team to persist with. It is the duty of a true leader to guide and make other members in his or her team to take up the additional responsibilities and such responsibilities will make them more harder and experienced to become Team Leaders themselves. It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
Moreover, I have three precious things which I hold fast and prize. The first is gentleness; the second is frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle and you can be bold, be frugal and you can be liberal, avoid putting yourself before others and you can become a leader among men.
A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves. If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it's amazing what they can accomplish.
Teach your team members the art of leadership the way you learned it from other outstanding leaders. Embattle them to take up the additional responsibilities and inspire them to create their own team to taste more success and fortune. For the last three years or more, I do all these things to make more and more affiliates in my team with acumen leadership qualities. Power isn’t control at all — power is strength, and giving that strength to others. A leader isn’t someone who forces others to make him stronger, a leader is someone willing to give his strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own.
In short, with more and more team leaders in your own team, you can taste the ultimate success with their efforts and of course, a bright fortune too. Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results. A man can only lead when others accept him as their leader, and he has only as much authority as his subjects give to him. All of the brilliant ideas in the world cannot save your kingdom if no one will listen to them.
Leadership - leadership is about taking responsibility, not making excuses. As the greatest Aristotle said, He who cannot be a good follower cannot be a good leader.
