Talking to strangers is never an easy task.
Talking to people you know is easier for casual conversation.
If you do not know your product, even talking to a friend can
be difficult.
My advice is simple, know your product, study and learn it.
Then, treat every one you talk to about it...as a friend.
You do not pretend they are your best friend...just a friend.
Keep eye contact to make sure you have their attention.
If it waivers away, slow down. Allow them to ask questions.
Maintain a friendship attitude, smile and talk normally.
Do not make a speech or hog the conversation.
Be relaxed, it will make your subject more relaxed and receptive to what you are saying.
If you flub a line or make a mistake, laugh it off, and keep going.
We all make a little blunder now and then.
My last piece of advice is keep it simple, do not over indulge in giving
to many details.
Just lay out the basics to get your prospect interested.
When they are signed up. Then you can start passing on detailed information.
They say, if you never jump in the water, you will never learn to swim.
Best to you.
