A webinar is a live, interactive online seminar. It’s not a pre-recorded presentation (although a pre-recorded presentation can also be a good way of training your team and even presenting the SFI business to prospective team members). If you are a pro with webinars already or can get training to become one, webinars can be a very good way to train your team as well as introducing SFI to new prospects, but if you’re not sure of yourself it’s better to try something else like pre-recorded presentations ( Go to udemy.com).
You can use webinars to both build and train your team, but it take two totally different approaches. You have to have one webinar for persuading new prospects to join and another to train your team.
First, you can design a webinar for recruiting new PSA's. In this presentation you should outline all of the benefits of starting a home business, as well as showing the workings of SFI and why SFI is the best choice for starting a new venture. Use SFI’s training material and resources in your preparation of the webinar. End the webinar with a "call to action" namely signing up. Promote these webinars with your affiliates to also use to promote SFI to their prospects. This will help them "close" their prospects and turn them into PSA's. It can work very well if you can present in good time, because a deal mustn't take too long to be closed after a prospect show interest. In the case of marketing to interested prospects, I would suggest that a pre-recorded presentation on your website, blog, social media, YouTube, etc. may work better as the prospect can access it immediately by clicking on a link. You can use Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Movie Maker, or any other software to produce your presentation.
The easiest way to promote your webinars or pre-recorded presentation is along with your other marketing efforts. A good way to get offsite sign ups is to advertise your training on your website, social media, printed media, etc. by offering free online work at home seminars and then conclude it with the SFI information to your gateway or links to direct sign up.
You can and should inform your PSA s of your training as well and you can do it via team mail, newsletters, Blogs, Leadership Page, etc.
For team building you need a different approach. A live webinar can work perfect in this instance if you have the necessary skills. You can do a monthly or even weekly team training webinar covering various marketing, and personal development topics. You want to attract as much as possible attention to your training sessions, so advertise it properly to your team members through your Stream Posts, Team Mails, News Letters, Blogs, Leadership Page, etc. Do it in good time and follow up with reminders.
You can cover a range of subjects from Getting Started, Earning Fast Track, Becoming EA and Team Leader, Being an Awesome Sponsor, Internet Marketing, Marketing Methods and Aids, TripleClicks, Wave3, etc. You can get all the information about these subjects and more on SFI’s website and especially at the Training Centre.
First you must choose the right service partner. There are many to choose from, some for free and others at a nominal fee. Here is just a few: meeting.com, meetcheap.com, webex.com, zoom.com, citrix.com, etc.
Then you must see to it that you have the right hardware like pc, laptop or tablet with internet access, webcam, mic, speakers, etc.
Then you must prepare the content properly. Let your team know about your plans to host a training webinar and get their feeling about it. They may give feedback about subjects that they want to know more about. Do proper research about every subject and compile an interesting and informative presentation. Let them also register for participation, so that you can know for how many people to prepare, but don’t be too rigid. You must be able to add attendees during the webinar as well. Send out invitations to all. Confirm everyone who register and send out all relevant info regarding the webinar. Send out reminders. Start on time and end on time. Keep it interesting, lively and interactive. Follow up with future webinars about the subject if necessary.
The classic webinar can also be replaced by free tools from Google and Google Plus.
Google Plus Hangout gives you the tools you really need to hold successful live conferences. With Hangouts you can broadcast live on Youtube to extend your audience beyond you professional network on Google Plus.
With all said and done, webinars should only be taken on by the experienced presenter. If you are not that person, maybe one of your up line is one and already have it in place. Make use of it.
