Success comes to those who work hard - it is that simple! Whether you apply this principle to becoming an online entrepreneur, a tennis player, a cricket team or a swimmer or anything that you are passionate about. You must put your heart into your business.
There are a combination of common factors that will distinguish one successful person from another - it is the training, the learning, the practice, the commitment, the dedication and the implementation of your goals that will give you a competitive advantage over the unsuccessful person.
A very good example that I can provide is a sport that I keep up with - Badminton. The Chinese Government pays its best badminton players to train for about 330 days out of 365 days. Is there a chance of any other player to defeat the Chinese players? My answer would be a definite, No. This is the passion of the sport, the dedication and the continuous learning that goes into making you the best. The same applies to a successful online entrepreneur.
You will constantly strive to improve your knowledge, how you will advertise, where you will advertise. What will be your long term goals and then setting your skills to achieving what you are ambitious about. You will make mistakes, lose in the process and face challenges that will enable you to overcome future hurdles but you will not give up on your aspirations. This, in my view will make you a successful online entrepreneur.

I keep losing people that were active previously. What do I do?

In any business, career, or program the decision to join that particular venture or field is a personal and individual one. The initiative must come from the person and in the same context, the decision to leave SFI is a personal one.
My advice is that you cannot fret over such uncertainties in your business but be prepared for such eventualities - look at it as one of the hazards of having a team that may take you up the ranks or leave you completely disintegrated. It is a risk you have to take.
You cannot force any of your affiliates to stay if they have made up their mind to leave but you can prevent this scenario by being the best sponsor you can be. Work with your team diligently and keep in mind that you cannot be robotic in your quest to motivate your team. Get personal, share experiences with your team members and build a relationship that will take your business forward. It is a lot easier to move your team members if they are more of your friends than if they are just some affiliates in some part of the world helping you get to where you want or wish.
This is not to say that there is any bearing on you if you have affiliates leaving the program. Think positive and build your team daily. Do not stop once you have a few active affiliates thinking they will remain with you forever. See it from a perspective of an employee who keeps changing jobs for greener pastures - reinforce upon your affiliates that SFI is a better paymaster than any other program there is online and prove this with your input. Be enthusiastic with your business because that is the only way you will pass on that enthusiasm down to your team.
If you are not more than 100% passionate about SFI, there is no way you will prevent other active affiliates from leaving.

What are good ways to use Stream to build your SFI business...and how often do you post on Stream?

The STREAM in my view is a quick update to your team members on what is going on.
* I try to post something motivational and share my experiences with my team members. This helps to encourage them and keep in touch.
* You should should make use of the 3 AVPs assigned to the stream effectively by ensuring that you post something that will provide news inc case some members are not very active. SFI usually tells you when your last post was but you also have the opportunity to post to various segments of your team: PSAs only, PSAs and CSAs, A2A friends, Gen 2 and below etc.
* You do not want to inundate messages to your teams and cause them to feel that there is a repetitive message(s) coming from you so decide who you will post to. To post 3 times in a week is a good start but if you feel you should post something important, then do so more than thrice.

When should I start buying PSAs?

Affiliate since: 07/05/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
I would not advocate that you buy PSAs especially at the start of your business but by all means, recruit at least 2/3 offline immediately you join. Go for family and friends first before you start spending money on prospective affiliates who may not give you the desired results.
Having said that you must also keep in mind where you are buying your PSAs from. There is no guarantee that they will perform as you expect them to. If you invest in buying PSAs at the start of your SFI business and in the event that they turn out to be less than active, you will become disappointed and discouraged. This can adversely affect your business and in a worst case scenario you may not want to continue at all. (This has happened to affiliates who are trying to earn money online and may not have the financial resources to continue)
Therefore it is best to recruit a few PSAs offline - talk to people - you come across many people in your day to day routine. Give yourself at least 3 months before you start buying PSAs. I am sure you will get at least one reliable active affiliate who will help you climb up in your business at a steady pace.
In the space of 3 months, you will have learnt the concept of your online business, how it is conducted, the compensation plan and what will help you earn. When you see that the 1 affiliate you registered offline is bringing in money for you, you will be encouraged to invest in buying PSAs from a reliable source. You will, by then have come across friends within SFI who can refer you to websites or ECAs who are resourceful enough to advertise on your behalf and generate PSAs for you.

What would be your best tips to build a strong team with real active and motivated members?

In my experience, if you want to have active members who are committed to SFI on a long term basis, these are some of the considerations you have to cultivate in your marketing campaign.
1. Start by talking to family, friends, colleagues at work and acquaintances. You already have their telephone contacts, email addresses or know where they work. You can convince members easily because they trust you and in many cases, friends and family are known to support people they know.
2. Encourage your members. Give out incentives for their accomplishments either by way of T Credits or Gift Certificates. It is great to receive these in the form of surprises. As their Sponsor you can monitor their progress and performance on a day to day basis and this acts as a guiding tool for you.
3. It is easier to handle your affiliates if they come from your own geographical region because you can communicate easily with them, there are no language barriers and if need be, you can also meet to discuss the way forward. Use advertising tools that help you recruit affiliates in your area before you move outside.
4. If you have a marketing idea that others are reluctant to try but you wish to explore, do not be afraid to implement it. Do what you do best.
5. Do not anticipate your results to be negative especially when you talk to people about your business. It does not matter if some will not sign up, sometimes it takes time for your strategy to show results. Be patient.
6. Every effort you put into your business will count towards your accomplishments in the future therefore nothing goes to waste. Avoid the "I wasted my time" mentality.

How can I get my affiliates interested in and engaged in selling products at TripleClicks?

TripleClicks remains probably the best source of income for you if you know how. It begins from setting an example and explaining to your affiliates how they can generate income through TripleClicks. This in itself will generate an interest for the affiliates to want to try out this aspect of the business.
1. Get them to understand that they can buy products from TripleClicks without having to go and shop elsewhere (transfer buying). The advantage of this is that they will earn sales points which will go towards their qualification.
2. They will be able to receive additional VPs for reviewing the product and once you have purchased a product that you believe is good value for money, you can easily tell your affiliates about it. You have to try the product first before expecting your affiliates to buy that product.
3. Giving gifts is another reason to shop at TripleClicks - tell your affiliates about this and how they can shop for their gifts and source products for friends who may wish to give away gifts.
4. You may initiate interest if you mention to your affiliates that they can shop for items where shipping is indicated as free - this has a psychological impact - where you are not paying anything additional for the product except for the price that is indicated.
5. Bulk purchases can also a way to get your affiliates to trade in products that are new to their region and this can be another lucrative way to earn commissions.
6. Where possible, provide links to your affiliates to make it easy for them to see which product(s) you have found useful.
7. With the drop shipping facilities now available, it makes it easy to shop from your preferred Amazon sites - this increases the variety of products available.
Your own reviews will also help your affiliates' decisions to buy from TripleClicks. The higher your reviews, the better your chances of convincing your affiliates that it is safe to purchase from TripleClicks.

How does SFI compare to other online businesses?

There is such an explosion of businesses online that sometimes you are wondering whether which program is right for you and which is going to "rip you off". I have had one experience trying to join another online business and that was going to be my last one - I received absolutely nothing from it and lost money instead.
When the SFI opportunity came along, I joined simply because it was FREE and there was an indication in the advertisement that it was a "business" and that prompted me to join. Perhaps my comparison may not be in an ideal set up but I am able to confidently say that :
1. SFI provides an honest environment in which you can expand your business and expose it globally.
2. There are stringent measures in place to keep the site from being abused or give others an opportunity to malign and tarnish its reputation.
3. You have not been compelled to sign up nor are you coerced into taking any decision you do not wish to - you have the freedom to carry out your affairs as you deem fit.
4. The support provided by the Forum takes into consideration the benefits to the Affiliates and this is evident by the constant improvement to the program.
5. There is close association between the affiliates and the founder of the organisation which gives credibility to the program and assures its affiliates that it is a bona fide concern.
6. Most online businesses advertise as opportunities to make a lot of money in a short while and this is something that is not encouraged by SFI. You work at your pace and make money provided you follow the criteria that helps you earn.
I have earned through SFI and I never thought that it was possible primarily because of my first bad experience - this helps to reassure my belief that it is indeed a REAL opportunity and not a scam that others get entangled into.

Which is better for a fairly new ECA? Limit shipping to my region while my business grows or ship internationally from the start?

I feel that you should market your ECA within your region first as you start promoting your business and your products in an environment in which you are familiar. There are several advantages for doing so.
1. Shipment costs outside your own region would be much higher and buyers would definitely not be willing to pay for that product. This would be the main advantage.
2. Your local buyers would understand shipment methods and also not query your charges-this would lend a greater relationship between your local buyers building a customer base. The possibility of repeat customers is very likely and this means expanding your business. Also it is easier to sort out any payment difficulties and work around hitches in technology when you are in one region.
3. It is much easier to build a customer base within your own geographical region for obvious reasons. This will give you experience on how to handle an overseas clientele. You will be able to answer questions better from prospective overseas buyers.
4. It is not difficult to add more countries to your shipping list and you can gradually expand your business to offer shipment outside your own region.

What are the most effective ways to communicate with your downline to get results?

I start off my communication with my team members through an E Card - its an informal way to introduce myself and I keep it brief. Most times I receive a reply acknowledging my E Card. I have various other options to use in case I wish to convey a longer message. This may require an email.
Recently I used a the SFI chat and discovered that I received a response and was surprised to hear a comment that made me feel good. I was told, I found time to communicate not only with my generation 1 but also with others below.
I have also started an SFI discussion group through WhatsApp and this is where we share all our excitement, talk about what is going on and provide motivation to each other. I add new team members but before I do that, I also ask them if it is okay to add them. At the same time, I try to find out the telephone contacts of my team members so that if there is anything that they cannot ask the group, they have the option of a one-to-one with me.
Other members prefer to discuss and talk on Skype and I allow this - whatever is convenient as a tool of communication is acceptable for me.
To sum up, other additional methods are listed below but they are not necessarily personal. You can add your own depending on what suits you.
o email
o SFI chat
o E Cards
o skype
o whatsapp
o leadership page
o stream(s)
o informal coffee meetings are a good way if you happen to be in the same town

What are some ideas for marketing SFI at a job fair or free-standing kiosk in a business area?
Nafisa Patwa, Aff (Kenya)

You will want to consider that when people are attending a job fair, they are searching for a paid job and that means a salary (tangible income) at the end of their first month at work. With a job, people are marketing the skills they possess or have acquired for which they are getting paid.
In this case, you may not get a very effective response because you are not offering job seekers what they need. It may be worth your while to get a couple of unusual marketing promotional items such as:
1. Instead of distributing fliers which probably would get thrown away in the trash, give out promotional pens or stick on magnets with one of your gateways printed on it. They will both be utilized consistently and your link will keep knocking on the minds of the prospective affiliate.
2. Get a stall of your own at the job fair if you are willing to spend on advertising but make sure you advertise it as a long term business. Remember you are searching for quality affiliates. This might catch the attention of prospects who look at this as an alternative in case they do not get a job.
I am assuming that you are referring to having a temporary place where you can talk about SFI. Here again, giving out marketing brochures and having a computer at hand would be a good idea. It will help to sign up people and show them your own website and explain briefly what the business is about.
It would be a good idea to keep a visitors book to help others who may not have the time to share their email contacts if not phone numbers. This gives you the opportunity to call them up and discuss it further at a later time.
