As a new affiliate, how much should I invest in SFI to start earning money every month?

You actually start earning before you have invested any money yourself in SFI. As soon as you earn 1 VersaPoint (VP) you have earned a share in the Executive Profit Pool. You will be able to receive any income earned when you generate at least 1500 Sales VP in one month time.
The first step is to reach at least 1500 VP every month. If you can invest enough money in purchases or a Standing Order that produces 1500 VP, that is a reliable way to accomplish that first step. Many Affiliates don't realize that if you sign up a PRM who makes purchases, the Sales VP will be credited to you. When you sponsor PSAs, you earn commission from their purchases and matching VP when you reach EA each month.
If you have an advertising budget, you can advertise for PRMs, for PSAs, and promote any product at TripleClicks. You also have the option to use free methods of advertising. It takes about $36 each month for a 1500 VP Standing Order. Your available budget for business will then be how much you can invest for growth in your business. Many people will start experiencing growth when they have sponsored at least 100 new sign ups. With paid advertising it is possible to reach that number of sign ups with a budget of $150 to $200. However, it is possible to recruit PSAs and PRMs through personal or warm maketing, and often in social media that can bring in active sign ups with hardly any monetary investment.
So, we all learn from experience how much and how to invest in SFI to have a monthly income. Reaching the 1500 VP per month is basic. Growing a team of PSAs or TripleClicks customers (PRMs) is the process that will build a strong business.

How do you promote the new Fast-Track 2.0 program to your team without putting them off?

In general, you won't be putting people off if your group mailings are always original and helpful. Also, there are times when many things are happening with SFI, and times when things are more regular. Our communications will be best received if our communications follow that pattern.
So,for something like the new Fast-Track 2.0 program, it can be good to highlight the exciting new benefits, but mostly remind them to be looking for the communications from SFI. This way you are letting them know you care about them getting the best benefit they can from their SFI business.

How can you revive affiliates that have become inactive...and get them active again?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
Doing things to revive inactive affiliates is an important activity. Just as in advertising, inspiring inactive affiliates to return to SFi and begin building their business is about numbers. On a regular basis, it is a good idea to send team mail to inactive affiliates.
What will inspire an inactive affiliate to become active? There are certainly different things that will get the attention of someone inactive. In general, your successful message will be providing a solution to an important need. Some needs are about needing to earn money. Some needs are about knowing what it takes to earn money. Some needs are about knowing what is possible. Some needs are about having enough time to be involved in a second income.
The more you think about it, the more you will come up with needs for which being an SFI affiliate will provide the solution. So, in your weekly or monthly message to your inactive affiliates, think of a need, and provide the solution that being an SFI Affiliate will provide. Something like this:
"Do you need an opportunity that allows you to earn extra income even if you only have a few hours each day? SFI provides all the tools you need to promote and build your business part time. Here are a couple links that will help you get started......" Then provide a couple of links like one of the Launchpad Lessons and one of the training links that speak to how SFI helps earn income on a part time level.
Just like in advertising, most will not respond, but with a steady, changing, and specific message about providing a solution to a need, there will be some who will want to know more, and then do something to start building a business.

Does purchasing Website traffic work, to get sales and/or SFI sign-ups?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

The basic answer is, Yes. However advertising is just as much of an art as a science, and every advertising experience is different. I advertise mostly the SFI opportunity, but what I talk about below can be used for advertising for sales as well.
There are good and bad paid ways of advertising, and there are good and bad ways of free advertising. However, I can say that my first good results were from paid advertising.
I researched the internet using key words like advertising, business services, marketing, and other words in those categories. After seeing the results, I started new searches as I learned which words started bringing the sites and information that would helped me advertise.
I found a couple sites that targeted my SFI advertising to groups of people looking for online businesses and earning income online. I had over 100 sign ups before I realized that I could begin to depend on sign ups on a regular basis. Sometimes good. Sometimes really good. The active sign ups came in the single digit percentages. But it was worth it to find the new entrepreneurs that wanted to build a business like I do.
It is not hard work, but you have to actually do the advertising. Keep an eye on your results. Zero results is not worth chasing, but 3 to 5 percent of results will help your business grow.

How do you explain the difference between TCredits and TCurrency?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
Both TCredits and TCurrency are exclusively available on the TripleClicks site. There is a distinct difference between the two.
TCredits are a commodity. This means TCredits are purchased or won. TCredits will expire after one year (the reason is for another topic). This commodity is then used on the TripleClicks site for auctions, games, and anything else that indicates it can be paid for with TCredits.
TCurrency is method of payment, a monetary value. If someone wants to buy TCredits and the person does not have a credit card or use of PayPal, TCurrency can be used. LocalPay ECAs will receive payment that the person can use and provide TCurrency that is put in the person's account. This now has provided a way for the person to buy TCredits (or any other commodity on TripleClicks).
Similar (used on the TripleClicks site), but very different.

How do you explain to team members why VersaPoints appear to reset to zero at the start of each month?

VersaPoints, which are shares in the Executive Profit Pool, are part of our monthly income. We earn commission based on the number of VersaPoints we earn during the earning period of one month. Our business could not be sustained if we were paid again on the same VersaPoints.
Every business pays based on the income that is produced.
We are fortunate that certain actions earn us additional VersaPoints and provide us with additional benefits as Team Leaders. It is important to know that no matter how we earn the VersaPoints, we can only earn from them one time.
So, it is this strength of the SFI Compensation Plan that we only earn one time from the VersaPoints we earn, and we start fresh again each month.

What tips do you give to your PSAs in your welcome letter to them?

The tips I give in my new PSA welcome letter are simple. My goal is to point the new PSA to the information on the SFI site that will get them started, basically the three buttons for Start, SFI Basics, and the Launchpad on their SFI home page. Since I send a personal email, I also include the links for those buttons to make it easy to get to from their email.
Then, to help them watch for the follow up information from SFI, I let them know there is important information about Fast Track that they will receive soon. Since SFI does a good job with following up in that regard, I want the new PSA to regard SFI's emails as important.
My other tip is to let them know that they can contact me directly, I provide my email, and I will answer their questions as soon as possible. I will welcome them again, and ask if they would let me know they received my message.
I believe this simple introduction has encouraged new PSAs to not be afraid to contact me.

There are several ways to get to and use the SFI Forum that will help you get out the most.
1. On the Alerts tab you can immediately see the latest Forum threads which often contain up to the minute discussions of important SFI News.
2. On the Forum tab you will see most recent posts from Gery, and your team members and people you are following (look for the circle with the + next to their Forum name and click it).
3. Under Hot Spots on the black tool bar you will see Forum as a choice. This will bring you to all the Categories in the Forum and you can get an overview of what is new, unread, and already read in each of the Categories. On this page, there is also a blue rocket button that will allow you to jump to any category or any of the special Regions and Countries sub Forums where native languages posts can be made.
4. Don't forget to use the Search the Forum area to see if what is on your mind has already been posted. That is the quickest way to find what you are looking for. The answer is already there!

What is the difference between working hard...and working SMART in SFI? How do I make sure I'm in the second group?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)
12/2/2015 10:01 am
Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
The advice to work smart and not hard is a common discussion in sales circles. This really doesn't mean that hard work is not beneficial, but not working smart can make your hard work worthless.
The admonition to work smart basically means to pay attention to what you are doing. Be aware whether or not you are getting the results from the work you are doing. When the results are not what you want, being smart means to take a look and see what needs to be changed, and then change it.
Working smart also means relying on best practices. Sometimes I say that I am lazy, and the person I say it to replies, no you're not! But what I mean by that is that I find ways to make the repetitive things less and the big picture things more. There are many people who figured out those processes and shared the benefits. Those who work smart pay attention to those who have gone before and use that information to making working hard worth it.

How do I come up with good content for my weekly newsletters to my team?

Good content for your weekly newsletter really starts with what interests you, what has helped you, and what inspires you to succeed with SFI.
If you think about what your earlist problems were and how you solved them, you can share that story as a newsletter message about how to get past problems and what is on the other side. Anything that you have learned can be shared as an inspirational story.
There are often SFI news announcements and Forum conversations that are very helpful that you can talk about in a weekly newsletter. You can also talk about what you think is important and helpful to be successful.
There are many themes you could research and share too, like the importance of marketing, or communicating or what it takes to be active in business. What interests and sounds good to you, will probably be very helpful in your newsletters.
