What other online marketing tools do you use to promote your business apart from those provided by SFI?

I use various online methods:
I have several ads on facebook and twitter. Then I also advertise on Jamble and Qeep.
I have my own website as well as a seperate blog with SFI and Tripleclicks banners and ads.
Then I have also subscribed to various websites with auto responders which allows you to send out free emails. Everytime I send out an email I use a different SFI URL to get maximum exposure.
Further I have enrolled to desktop lightning which allows me to send out adverts to some of their members weekly.
I was also invited to test a new social network which is going live at the end of May which promises to be even bigger than facebook. I have already submitted my ads for when the site is released and I hope to be the only one advertising SFI at that early stage.

What was the best advice you ever got from your upline and how has it helped you?

To be honest, I hardly ever hear from my upline unless they are promoting their ECA's.
The best piece of advice, I found in a stream-message by Erich Winnecke, and I am going to share it with you.
The advice :
Do NOT buy a pack of 200 TC's. It will cost you $58 and you will receive 1661 VP's. Rather buy 2 x 100 TC's at $29 each. It will also cost you $58, but you will get 2 x 1200 (2400) VP's.
What it did and still does for me ?
It keeps me in : 2nd position in my class
34th in my country
top 300 in VP's
top 2000 overall.
I am very sure that you will benefit from following this advice too.

For SFI affiliates, what is the most overrated activity...and what is the most underrated activity?

For me, without a doubt, the most overrated activity is ASK SC.
Let me give you an example:
The question on the best payment method for India - not being from India myself, how will it affect me to know what the best method is? How can I rate any answer on that topic, if I don't have the faintest idea what would suit most Indians? Then to answer the question: was the answer helpful? My reaction to that - No, Not at All!
My other problem is the answers that are being rated the best:
Why is it necessary for affiliates to put their names or affiliate Id at the bottom of their answer? Is it so that others who know them, could rate their answer favorably? Why can't the whole process be done anonymously? After all, the winners are being rewarded VP, how can it be the same winners question after question?
As for underrated activities, there are a whole lot of them.
What about the topics in Forum? Does everyone realizes the tips and the information that they could pick up there?
The news - If you don't read that, I am sure that you would not have noticed the opportunity to make extra VP's on recapping on how to be a great sponsor.
The biggest underrated activity of all - Signing in daily and complete your to do-list!
Affiliates expect the money to drop in their laps. If they have not made a killing within the first couple of days, they simply don't bother to sign in anymore.
How can anyone expect to run a successful business if they turn up for work once in a blue moon, not to mention that they don't even stay long enough on that rare occasion to open the imaginary doors to their business-site.

Since reading is so important to success, what book would be your #1 recommendation to SFI members and why?

My personal opinion is that there is not a specific book that you should focus on. I have 2200 books and I am learning more every day. I have started to study books on affiliate marketing, growing your online business, blogging, using facebook to market your business, etc.
I attend webinars and seminars, I enrolled to online training, and despite all this knowledge, I can not give myself out as an expert.
I would recommend a subscription for IAHBE, read and study whatever you can find there before you start buying other books. From the info you get there, you will have a solid foundation to build your SFI business.
Then decide what marketing strategy you are going to follow, and focus on that. Once you are an expert in that field, widen your research and study other alternatives.
Remember, knowledge is power, and you can never know too much on a specific subject.
Read, study, and try your hand at every method there is.
Good luck and happy reading.

I think the TripleClicks TCards are a great marketing tool. To whom would you give the cards to and why?

I would certainly start by giving the cards to friends and family members so that they know where to contact me if they have any enquiries. They would talk about the cards amongst each other and then their friends and family members would become curious and start asking them where they got the cards from. That way, you get word-of-mouth referals too.
How would you convince an affiliate giving up on SFI to continue in the business?

To be quite honest, I would not even try. If an affiliate doesn't have the willpower and guts to make something of his own life, and the business he supposedly started, then it is it better that he goes.
There is a saying that is very true - it says 'you can take a horse to the water, but you can't make him drink!'I am also not very good at giving a drowning horse the kiss of life.
Which is best, free or paid advertising?

whether to use free or paid advertising, is up to you to decide.
I make only use of free advertising, and I make some extra money on PTC or TE's for promoting my SFI business. Whether I send out emails, place banner or text ads, or use a splash page, it is free. I only use the credits I make by surfing other sites and it cost me not a cent. That way you can have some fun as well, like building puzzles, play one arm bandits, or winning badges or stickers.
It is totally up to you. I like having some fun and making a bit of extra money.

What is the benefit of receiving non-active, re-assigned affiliates (PSAs) from your upline?

There is absolutely no benefit from receiving non-active, re-assigned affiliates from your up-line.You do not even get 30 Versa-points a week, because you already get this for contacting your existing down-line.
Those people don't even sign in once a month, let alone once a week. They do not respond to your team-mails, your stream-messages or your emails. The points that they earned to make them transferable, was done so far back that it makes it impossible for you to transfer them back.
It is all very well to say that they are inactive because of a language problem. I don't believe that. They understood enough of the language in the first place to make 600 points. In that instance, they understand enough of the language to make 900 more.

In one sentence, how do you respond when someone asks you about the business you are involved in?

I would try to raise as much curiosity about my answer as I could by the way in which I answers the question.
I would say: 'Basically I am not doing much, as most of it was already done for me, but surely and slowly, I am paving my way to a lifetime income stream which would provide well for me in my old age.'
Then I would answer the flood of questions which are going to be directed at me.
What are the benefits of using an auto-responder system in SFI...or should I not use one?

Personally I dont see any benefits in using an auto-responder system in SFI. Part of the 'rewards' in a networking business, is the joy of the wonderful relationships you build up with your teammates.
In my opinion using an auto-responder system would be like going out on a Valentine's date with a robot - cold and impersonal. You won't even get the thrill of knowing you meant something to someone.
