These days, any effective online advertising strategy almost HAS to include social media. But when it comes to social marketing, remember: LESS IS MORE. In-your-face advertising just doesn't work well on social platforms. And simply copying and pasting your SFI Gateway link into a friendly post won't typically work either–Facebook, Twitter, and other social platforms routinely block the posting of affiliate links.

So, what are some effective means of spreading the word about your business, product, or service on social media? 

• Hook up your own domain to your Gateway. By getting your OWN domain, you may bypass Facebook and Twitter's "blocking police" and post a link that redirects to your affiliate gateway! 

• Instead of getting your own domain, you may want to try creating a short "cloaking" link for free from a service like bit.ly or setting up your own "forwarding link." See this WikiHow article for help or Google "URL Forwarding" for other resources.
